The Frederick L. Ray Biblical Institute offers academic programs which are designed to train ministers, as defined in Scripture, how to properly study, interpret, and rightly divide the Word of God. The Frederick L. Ray Biblical Institute offers the Bachelor of Theology Degree, the Master of Divinity Degree, and the Doctor of Divinity Degree.
Additionally, continuing education classes are available to all God’s people who have a desire to learn the Word of God.
The Bachelor of Theology Degree is a two-year program offered to train ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Christian Doctrine and produce men with the vision and values needed to restore the spirit of the church. Each student must successfully complete the Core Curriculum. Admission to the program is open to all licensure ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Master of Divinity Degree is a two-year program for ministers called to be pastors, evangelists and teachers. It serves as the basis for future doctoral work. Admission to the program is open to all ordained ministers with an earned Bachelor of Theology or its equivalent (e.g. experiential knowledge of the Eighteen (18) Points of Biblical Doctrine) is eligible to apply. If the student does not have these prerequisites, he may complete them through the Frederick L. Ray Biblical Institute. Applications may be submitted at any time, but application review will be subject to the scheduled application deadlines for admission during a given term. Ordained ministers who choose to enter the Frederick L. Ray Biblical Institute contemplating theological study should correspond immediately with the Student Services Representative. Such correspondence will help prepare students for their anticipated program of study.
The fundamental goal of the Doctor of Divinity program is to help ministers develop a more effective ministry through a critical and informed reflection upon the experience gained in the practice of ministry. The Doctor of Divinity Degree as a two-year program requires ministers to have a teaching understanding of all sixty-six (66) Books of the Bible. The Doctor of Ministry Program is open to applicants who have completed the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) or its equivalent and the applicant has demonstrated the ability to do academic work at the graduate level. The demonstration of such ability will be evidenced by a demonstrated quality in communication skills, and cognitive ability as ascertained in a review of the application packet. Candidates must complete the Core Curriculum and demonstrate an understanding of the doctrines of Christianity and the significance of the Gospel and relate it to the Book Genesis. Additionally, candidates for this degree must satisfactorily complete a comprehensive written requirement. Persons with a Master of Divinity degree or its formal equivalent are eligible to become applicants to the program.
The primary objective of the Continuing Education Certificate Program is to motivate believers to continually pursue the knowledge of God, which will result in spiritual growth and maturity. The goal is to offer opportunities for persons to grow spiritually and to sharpen and expand ministry skills necessary for more effective and dynamic service as leaders in the local congregation. Any believer desiring to study and grow in the Word of God may enroll in this program. .
